Recipe Box

I am always on the hunt for new recipes. Whether it be searching online or stealing recipes from everyone I know it usually comes hand in hand with billions of pieces of scrap paper with hastily written recipes on them. Many of which I can't even make out when I finally get round to trying them out.

There was a time when my fridge was covered in little pink post it notes listing various ingredients for various dishes. So I was thrilled when my sister in law gave me this awesome recipe box for Christmas one year.

I have since bought it for my sister and a few friends. I am one of those people that when I have discovered something brilliant, I tell everyone. And this is no exception.
The box is full of blank recipe cards, and have labelled dividers so you know exactly where to find the recipe your looking for. It comes in a few awesome designs and refill recipe cards are available. The cards have space for you to write all your ingredients, serving size, cooking and prep time, lots of room on the back for the method and even a space to write where you got the recipe from.
Or you can do what a very clever friend of mine does and cut out your fav recipes from magazines and paste them onto the cards.

As you all know I am big on the whole "family" cooking. Recipes being handed down from generation to generation. I have this idea in my head that one day when I'm old and grey my kids and my grand kids will come to me for family recipes. And god forbid when the day comes that I am no longer here then they have a beautiful keepsake.
The recipe box is available from Safeway for $9.99 and refill recipe cards are about $4.
