Raspberry and Almond Slice

I love Christmas.......actually love probably isn't a strong enough word. I am obsessed with Christmas. Most of you would have noticed that supermarkets and shopping centres are bringing out the festive goodies earlier and earlier. While roaming the aisles early yesterday morning I picked up a booklet of Christmas recipes.

Choc-Hazelnut Meringue Bites

Believe it or not but I have never made meringue before. As I was telling a friend the other day, it isn't really one of my preferred foods so I guess it just something I have never had an interest in making.

Ricotta, ham and tomato lasagne

The boys in my household love lasagne. Whenever there is a request for dinner it is always always always lasagne. You know how they say that lasagne is even better the next day? Well I wouldn't know because it never lasts that long at my house. Once I made a beautiful char grilled vegetable lasagne and the boys were not impressed so when I decided to try this version I was preparing for a battle.

Olive Loaf

I was in the mood to bake something but seeing as though I still had half of the never fail cake sitting in my cake tin I decided that I didn't want to make anything sweet (Shock horror!) but I was missing half the ingredients for any form of savoury muffin.

Caramelised Onion Tart

I know I have been really big on the whole goats cheese thing lately. If you haven't noticed it is becoming one of m favourite ingredients. And I know that not everyone likes it.

Brownie Stuff Chocolate Chip Cookies

OMG, finding these was like a revelation. Stuffing already delicious chewy choc chip cookies with parcels of rich fudgy brownies. Who ever came up with this idea deserves a medal.

Julie Goodwins 'Never Fail Cake'

It was cold and raining outside, the type of weather that makes me want to turn my oven on and make something warm and delicious.

Lemon Jelly Cakes

There really is no story behind these little lamington like cakes. Except that I was having dinner at my girlfriends house on Thursday night and we were discussing what we would do for our weekly girls lunch the next day. While flipping through recipes plus there were these little dainty looking cakes and my lovely girlfriend told me I had to make them. So of course I did.
